A 'deja vu' moment this morning as Thomas Cook Airlines continue to increase their flying programme during April in the run up to a summer season which will see the carrier base four Boeing 757s with us (although only two of which will wear the TCX livery!) - this departure was a one-off however, the airport's first passenger service to Banjul, flown by the first-visiting as such Boeing 767-300 G-TCCB. The aircraft had visited previously as G-DIMB wearing the colour-schemes of three previous UK charter airlines, Airtours, My Travel (albeit in a hybrid livery), and Monarch Airlines, with whom it last appeared here during July 2007 - this morning's visit was only our second involving a TCX-liveried Boeing 767 however, the aeroplane also becoming the first non-Thomson/First Choice '67 to appear here fitted with winglets.
