With an ash cloud from an erupting Icelandic volcano once again encroaching into UK airspce, Norwegian re-scheduled their two late morning Edinburgh arrivals through Newcastle Airport today, flown by the first-visiting as such, ex-Air Malta Boeing 737-300 LN-KKC, and the much more interesting Boeing 737-800 LN-NOL, the first of the carrier's now quite sizeable -800 fleet to appear here. The machine is even more significant, being the 6,000th Boeing 737 manufactured, hence the aeroplane's special tail markings.
